Earlier this year, XE set out on a journey to improve your customer experience re-engineering our desktop and mobile online money transfer interfaces.
Our globally-distributed teams are on a quest to:
Make it easier for clients to sign up for an account, submit identification documents as required by law, and book a transfer to a foreign country.
Accelerate transfers between accounts, for high-value transactions as well as regular payments abroad.
Our customer experience design and development teams are hard at work on several projects to take "friction" out of the account registration and money transfer process. This is an ongoing journey, with some exciting milestones on the horizon.
You may have already seen some of the changes on our website and mobile apps, yet the best improvements are yet to come in the coming weeks and months.
Here are a few ways many new and existing XE customers in the regions above can enhance their online money transfer experience:
Transfer Your Funds Cheaper and Faster via a Domestic XE Account
Once you have booked your transfer, you must send the funds to XE from a bank somewhere in the world. Depending on where you’re sending money from, here is some quick guidance on which bank to select.
Sending funds to one of these banks nearest you could save you time and money!
Depending on where you are in the world, you will have the opportunity to either send money to XE through a bill payment from your bank, a wire transfer, or a card settlement. If it isn't clear to you as to which of these processes applies to you, or how to send us the money, please check our FAQ page or contact us.
XE can be reached on the phone, via Twitter, email and/or Facebook. We have multilingual customer care agents available from Monday through Friday who can support you through completing your transaction.
XE Transfers Your Money Internationally, Send Your Money Domestically
By sending your money in your local currency to the XE bank account in your country, you could avoid fees and your, your transfer will be initiated and completed by XE faster as money transferred within the same country often can arrive much quicker. XE does not charge a fee for using a service that’s what makes us different from some of our competitors, so you can save more of your money when you transfer with us .
Where possible, sending money a few days earlier than it is due is advised, however, most transfers are completed within 1-3 days. XE will send you an email and/or text message when your money is sent. Unfortunately, we do not have visibility into when your money is accepted by your recipient.
If you don't have confirmation from the payee within 5 business days, please contact XE so we can investigate the matter.
