To switch back to your primary SIM on a iPhone or iPad:

Start by making sure your Primary SIM is turned on:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad

  2. Go to Mobile Service

  3. Under SIMs, select your Primary SIM

  4. Make sure Turn On This Line is toggled to ON

Then tell your device to use your Primary SIM for mobile data:

  1. Go to Settings then Mobile Service

  2. Choose Mobile Data

  3. Select your Primary SIM

  4. Make sure Allow Cellular Data Switching toggled OFF

You can use the Xe eSIM with most smartphones built after 2018, so if you've got one of the latest iPhone, Google or Samsung smartphones, it's likely to be compatible.

We recommend that you check with your phone manufacturer to make sure that your device is compatible.

Most smartphones allow you to store multiple sims, so there’s no need to delete your Xe eSIM.

If you keep your Xe eSIM active, we’ll send you an SMS when you arrive in a country where we offer data plans. You can then purchase a plan for that country and save on roaming charges.

  • Check that you've activated your Xe eSIM in your phone's settings. You can do this by going to Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data > Cellular/Mobile Data and select Xe eSIM.
