Don’t have Apple Pay set up yet?
Getting started is simple. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone, tap the ‘+’ icon in the top right corner, and follow the prompts to add your debit or credit card. Once it’s added, you’ll be ready to send with Apple Pay.
Apple Pay frequently asked questions
Apple Pay is available for Xe customers in Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, and the USA. You’ll need to have Apple Pay enabled on your iPhone and a compatible debit or credit card in your Apple Wallet.
Available currencies depend on your location:
Australia: AUD
Canada: CAD and USD
Europe: EUR
New Zealand: NZD
USA: USD
Here’s how to complete a transfer using Apple Pay:
Start your transfer and choose Apple Pay as your payment method.
Add your recipient and transfer details.
On the Transfer Summary screen, tap Pay.
Apple Pay will open with your default card — tap the arrow to switch cards if needed.
Review your payment and confirm using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
You’ll return to the Xe app, where you can track your transfer in Activity.
Fees depend on the card type stored in your Apple Wallet:
Debit cards typically have lower fees
Credit cards may include higher fees
You’ll see fee details:
On the “How would you like to pay?” screen before confirming
On the Transfer Summary screen (shows maximum fee)
In the Pay Xe section of the Apple Pay screen
You can switch cards at any point before confirming your payment.
Transfer limits may vary depending on your card type and location. You’ll see any applicable limits when setting up your payment in the app.
