PARIS, Jan 29 (Reuters) - The European Central Bank does not rule out taking 'non-standard' policy actions to respond to the economic crisis but will not pre-announce any decisions, President Jean-Claude Trichet said on Thursday.
'I said we could engage in non-standard actions and indeed we have already done so, notably on refinancing,' Trichet told France's BFM radio in an interview from the World Economic Forum in Davos in which he noted that the ECB had offered unlimited refinancing to commercial banks.
'I have been asked whether we could commit to other measures. I have nothing to say on that. I have said I would not pre-announce anything,' he said.
