

ALMATY, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Kazakhstan's net gold and foreign
currency reserves fell to $26.4 billion as of Jan. 31 from $27.7
billion on Dec. 31, data published by the central bank on
Wednesday showed.
The Central Asian country's total international reserves
stood at $84.9 billion at the end of January, the bank said in a
statement. This total includes $58.5 billion in the National
Fund, which collects windfall revenues from oil exports.
After Russia, Kazakhstan is the largest former Soviet oil
producer. The country, Central Asia's largest economy, also
holds slightly over 3 percent of the world's recoverable crude
reserves.
The central bank has provided the following data for its
reserves since the end of 2008:
