TOKYO, Dec 14 (Reuters) - Japan's industrial output rose 1.6 percent in October, revised data showed on Friday, suggesting that factory output may have bottomed out while the broader economy is seen in a recession in the face of the global slowdown.
The figure compared with an initial reading of a 1.8 percent increase and followed a 4.1 percent decline in September, data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) showed.
The capacity utilisation index rose 1.6 percent in October from a month earlier to 82.4, the data showed.
