

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Malaysia's consumer price index
rose 1.3 percent in October from a year earlier, data from the Statistics
Department showed on Friday.
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast inflation to remain steady at 1.3
percent, the same as in September, which was the weakest pace in two years.
Prices in October were 0.2 percent higher over the previous month on a
seasonally unadjusted basis.
