JERUSALEM, Dec 31 (Reuters) - Israel's unemployment rate edged down to 6.7 percent in November from 6.9 percent in October amid a rise in the number of employed and in the labour force, the Central Bureau of Statistics said on Monday.
The number of employed rose 0.8 percent to 3.406 million in November, with 59.7 percent of those aged 15 and over having jobs, up from 59.3 in October.
The participation in the labour force of those aged 15 and over increased to 63.9 percent last month from 63.7 percent in October.
Israel's economy is slowing as a result of the global downturn and is projected to have grown 3.3 percent in 2012, down from 4.6 percent in 2011.
