Germany's Federal Statistics Office reported the following

economic indicator on Tuesday:

Month-on-month -0.6 -0.7 -0.3

Year-on-year +1.5 +1.8 +6.8

Index (basis 2005) 118.7 119.4 116.9

NOTE -

(if available only: The Statistics Office said that

excluding oil, import

prices were down 0.4 percent month-on-month and up

0.4 percent year-on-year. )

The mid-range forecast of economists polled by Reuters was

for a month-on-month fall of 0.3 percent and a year-on-year rise

of 1.8 percent.
