Security Administrator

XE is seeking a Security Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the Director of IT, the Security Administrator is responsible for supporting, monitoring, and maintaining the security of XE computing infrastructure. This includes datacenter server systems, network equipment, virtualization, and cloud deployments.

  • Maintain hardware and software infrastructure to ensure continued security
  • Monitor/Analyze logs, data, and other sources of information to ensure ongoing infrastructure security
  • Monitor and maintain Palo Alto Firewall devices across different locations
  • Develop scripts for automated tasks
  • Monitor and ensure effectiveness of security solutions
  • Conduct weekly vulnerability scanning of networks/servers/services, review results and plan/organize remedial work
  • Work with external vendors to schedule and conduct annual external penetration tests
  • Liaison with other companies within the Euronet family regarding security initiatives
  • Participate in security incident response events
  • Manage/Monitor backup and archiving jobs and participate in BC/DR planning
  • Monitor and manage patching of all devices/servers/services
  • Research potential hardware and software solutions and upgrades
  • Manage and maintain Anti-Virus solutions
  • Post-secondary diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role
  • Highly proficient with Linux and Windows server operating systems and services in a demanding production environment
  • Working experience with the LAMP stack, LDAP, virtualization, networking, and high available environments
  • Working experience with intrusion prevention, virus detection, firewalls, VPN, encryption, authentication/authorization, Data Loss Prevention, Certificate services, and protocol and traffic analysis
  • Programming/scripting in relevant languages
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with peers and Executives
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proven ability to take initiative and see projects through to completion
  • Passionate about technology and security
  • Continual learner
  • Information Security Certifications are highly desired
