The dollar held on to a firmer tone following yesterday's mostly firm U.S. data releases, which kept alive the prospect of Fed tapering as early as September and also raised the risk of a better than expected NFP reading. The dollar ended on a weaker footing after a series of U.S. data misses, which included the key NFP release. The headline number increased 162k in July from a downwardly revised 188k outturn in June, which compared with the 183k median.
